Beach Clubs in Mykonos

Mykonos is one of my most favorite places I have visited. Everything from the glistening waters, architecture, Bougainvillea, amazing Greek food, and vibrant energy stole my heart. The biggest attraction was the beach clubs, which I go through below. But first, a quick fun story on my journey to Greece…
One of my best friends and I planned a New York stop from LA before going to Greece, to see the US open. Even as I had scheduled an Uber to get to LAX, I was going to quickly take out the recycling as the bag broke and a champagne bottle shattered on my foot. My ankle started gushing blood, and I just put a tiny bandaid on it, as I could not miss this flight! We solved my wound upon landing in NY with some surgical tape, and made it to the US Open to see Naomi Osaka (such an amazing experience)!
After a couple quick dinners we were off to our flight to Greece, but there was a terrible storm that day. Thank goodness I had called a SUV, as the highway was completely flooded, smaller cars were floating or stopped, and the visibility was terrible. Upon arriving at the airport (safe and sound, thank goodness), completely soaked from head to toe from the one second of stepping out of the car, we found out our flight was extremely delayed. The silver lining was that we were able to get a deal on upgrading to Emirates Business Class, and would be able to sleep a lot better on the flight. With each announcement our flight was more and more delayed, but we finally boarded around 3am (having to switch to a different terminal of course). That’s all for now! Onto the beach clubs ranked in order by my personal experience…
1. Principote
I could live at Principote, I loved it so much. We spent the full day here, and had an absolute blast. It was the furthest from the main hotels, but well worth the trip. First up, we dined at the restaurant which had three huge patios, and had an assortment of amazing food such as the greek salad, tuna, truffle potatoes, and risotto. They also had amazing cocktails; I had espresso martinis, aperol spritzs, and tequila on the rocks. Then we got our daybeds (there was a bit of a wait and you will want to reserve in advance) and enjoyed our cocktails while strolling along the beach. There is fun music playing, and we joined in on the table area, which is like an all day dance party. I Shazam’ed so many songs I heard playing as they had such a great DJ playing fun remixes. My friend told everyone it was my birthday (which it was), and they brought out a cake with sparklers. Definitely one of the best birthday experiences you can have! You will want to spend the whole day at Principote, and it is well worth it!
2. Scorpios
Scorpios had a cool energy, similar to what you would expect from Burning Man. We ended up taking a nap much longer than expected after Nammos, so we arrived a bit later into the night. Thankfully they still let us in (although I would not count on it), and we dined on the patio right next to the DJ sand pit. Scorpios had really amazing food; I could not get over their dips with pita, tabbouleh, and meat (apologies, I forget the name of it). We ordered some tequila cocktails, and walked down to the DJ sand pit after dinner. Make sure you wear shoes that you are comfortable with walking in the sand in, or are able to easily take them off. I would come again, closer to sunset time and into the evening!
3. Nammos
Nammos was our first stop, and a bit underwhelming. It is probably the most popular beach club name in Mykonos, but was extremely crowded with almost all of the daybeds completely full. The restaurant food was solid, but nothing over the top amazing. We did come earlier in the day, so I assume the music and overall vibe gets better later in the day, but it seemed a bit sleepy. If you come for shopping, there are a lot of stores on the way in Nammos Village such as Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Loro Piana, Saint Laurent, and more. I would give it another chance reserving daybeds in advance, but would not be my top choice. I heard great things about Alemagou, but did not get a chance to visit. I would probably try there instead of Nammos next time!
