Best Places to Shop J-Beauty in Los Angeles

Uncover hidden gems and popular J-beauty brands in Los Angeles!

The first three J-Beauty stores are all conveniently located at The Shops at Santa Anita! If you are not located in Los Angeles, you can read my J-Beauty 101 blog and shop my curated edit of my favorite J-beauty products here.

  1. ShibuyaLA

ShibuyaLA is my version of Disneyland, and carries everything from Japanese makeup, skincare, haircare, snacks, drinks, stationary, and more! It carries products at all different price points as well, so that all types of J-beauty consumers are catered to. Some of my favorite products to purchase from ShibuyaLA are DermaLaser 100 sheet masks (specifically the Ceramide 100), TANGO Suiko Hatsucure V5 sheet masks, and IPSA silk cotton pads.

  2. Maison Kose

Maison Kose is a more high end J-beauty store, and carries top brands such as Decorte, Addiction Tokyo, Jill Stuart Beauty, and Sekkisei. I was initially on a mission to drive to Maison Kose for the gorgeous Jill Stuart Beauty products, but fell in love with both Addiction Tokyo and Decorte while shopping there. My favorite products from Maison Kose are the Jill Stuart Beauty Lip Glow Serum Balm, the Addiction Tokyo liquid eyeliner (literally the best you will ever try), the extensive selection of Addiction Tokyo skin melt eyeshadows, the Decorte comfort day mist sprays, and the Decorte hand cream.

  3. Takashima

I actually just discovered Takashima today during my trip to The Shops at Santa Anita, and was pleasantly surprised with the broad selection of J-beauty products (and large stock of Ishizawa Labs products - normally sold out). Their best product in my opinion that I have not seen anywhere else is the box version of 28 Keana rice sheet masks. This sheet mask is truly life changing with its smoothing and pore shrinking capabilities, and I use it every single day. This large pack makes it a no-mess solution to daily users such as myself. They also have many cult favorite lip products in stock that are often sold out elsewhere. They carry an extensive selection of Mapepe hair products which I have not seen in the other stores as well. I also discovered a top-selling nail oil that I will be slathering on all winter. My product picks from Takashima would be the 28-pack box of Keana rice sheet masks, the Shiseido water in lip balm, the Suhada Kinenbi fake nude lip, and Make me Happy nail oil.

  4. Mitsuwa

Mitsuwa is a well known Japanese grocery store, and has many more locations accessible to different parts of Los Angeles (specifically westside and South Bay). Many shop at Mitsuwa for Japanese food items, ready-made meals, and food court restaurants, but not as many know about their beauty aisles. I always pick up my Shiseido Tsubaki hair mask here (they also have Fino well in stock), &honey moist 3.0 hair oil, and Keana rice sheet mask if I do not feel like driving all the way to Arcadia.
