“Wait a Second, My Social Events Calendar is Missing”

The best tool to collaborate with friends on your social events calendar!

I am blessed with friends who are big planners. With everyone having busy weekly work schedules, trips, appointments, dates, and events, it is hard to keep track of everyone’s availability when planning a social outing or get together. I researched several apps to make life easier for all of us, and landed on Cozi. It is considered a family planning app, but is absolutely perfect for planning events with your chosen family!

Here are the reasons why it works for this use case:

It Comes in App Form

With most of us on our phones most of the time, an app is the easiest mode to quickly pull up schedules and plan out a social event. It can also be accessed on your computer, if you prefer that mode. You can also automate notifications via email.

It Is Separate From Work Calendars

I love that it is a separate entity from my work calendars, as I don’t want to mix them together. My work time is work time, and my play time is play time! If you do prefer combining them, Google calendar may be a better option for you.

You Can Color Code Each Person

This is one of my favorite features, and makes it so easy to see who is attending a certain event and who is busy during a certain time.

Shopping and To Do Lists Feature

This is especially helpful when planning a trip together, where grocery and to do planning items can be kept track of as a group.

Recipes Feature

As an added bonus for everyone, there is a Recipes feature to plan out your weekly meals. There are also fun cooking ideas to do together as a group when you get together or for when you are cooking during a trip.

Option to Upgrade to Cozi Gold

You can upgrade to Cozi Gold for $29.99/year, which is very worth it. You will be able to remove ads, search, have a month view, add to a birthday tracker, go in shopping mode, and recieve reminder and change notifications. You can read more about these features and the comparison against Cozi here.
