The #1 Substitute for Drunk Elephant’s D-Bronzi Drops

For any fellow victims impacted by the TikTok craze!

One of my best friends gifted me Drunk Elephant’s D-Brozi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops about 6 years ago, and I was hooked every since! I love to mix it in with my foundation along with a few sprays of Tatcha’s Luminous Dewy Skin Mist for the ultimate glow. I will even mix it in with body lotion or body oil for an all over bronzed look for a fun night out.

Unfortunately over the past year or so, the product has been primarily sold out from every Sephora location. I love TikTok and don’t think great products should be gatekept, but when thousands of beauty influencers along with Alix Earle promote a specific product — I might as well kiss it goodbye forever (#sigh).

I finally went through the five stages of grief and took the plunge to do some research on finding a new substitute. I won’t call it a dupe, as I like to find quality products that achieve just as great (if not better) results rather than a cheaper carbon copy. As you may read in some of my other beauty blog posts, I prioritize the quality of ingredients in products I am putting on my face.

I have been a big fan of Chantecaille for almost a decade, and was intrigued when I was shopping their Black Friday sale and stumbled upon their ‘Radiance Gel Liquid Bronzer’. It had a ton of great reviews online, so I decided to try it! At first glance squeezing it out of the bottle, it looks a bit orange-y in comparison to the D-bronzi drops (see below) — but it mixes super well with my foundation and has a gorgeous subtle shimmer to it!

A little goes a long way, so the tube should last you a while! I also tested out mixing it with my body lotion, and it honestly works much better than the D-Bronzi drops in achieving a more saturated sunkissed glow. It also provides antioxidant protection, fights free radicals, and lasts 12 hours. I am so happy that I found this product, and that it actually works well!
