The Dominick Hotel, New York

My favorite home away from home!

Whenever I come to New York, I absolutely love to stay at The Dominick hotel. It has the perfect combination of gorgeous rooms with floor to ceiling windows of skyline views, amazing onsite restaurants, an outdoor pool, and close proximity to Soho shopping and popular restaurants. The staff is so friendly and attentive, and it is so easy to feel right at home. If I were to ever live in New York, this would be my dream location!

Unfortunately I do not have any bed or bathroom pictures for you, but will be sure to get those next time I visit! The main attraction of the rooms are the floor to ceiling windows, where you can go to sleep and wake up with the gorgeous New York skyline.

During my most recent visit, they left a special treat of delicious macarons during turn down service. Talk about princess treatment!

If you book with Fine Hotels & Resorts, you get a daily breakfast credit. I always love ordering breakfast room service and they have great options of continental breakfasts, coffee, juices, and smoothies. There is nothing better than enjoying your breakfast and looking out at the beautiful New York skyline view!

The best daytime activity while staying here is to go for a stroll in Soho and pop into the many amazing stores. It is also in close proximity to Carbone, Caffe Dante, Balthazar, Sadelle’s, Saint Ambroeus, and more! There is also a Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, and CVS right across the street in case you need any essentials.

The Dominick is one of few hotels to have an incredible outdoor pool. You are able to look out at the rooftop skyline while enjoying the water. This is the perfect way to spend the afternoon, especially during the summer, with a delicious cocktail in hand. They offer pool loungers as well as cabanas. Make sure to check if the pool is open and in season!

The pool area has an indoor and outdoor restaurant, El Takoy, which is great for lunch, a snack, and cocktails. Its cuisine is Hawaiian inspired street food. I especially like their Kalua Pork Tacos. You can also get cocktails with your meal, or delivered at your lounger!

Also featured in my New York Food Tour blog, Vestry is The Dominick’s onsite Michelin star restaurant. It is perfect for grabbing a bite and cocktails or wine at the bar after landing, or having a nice lunch with a friend. The food is absolutely incredible, and I always love to dine here when I stay at the hotel!

All in all, my stays at The Dominick have been absolutely perfect and keep me coming back again whenever I plan a trip to New York. Whether you want a great location, onsite restaurants, or a poolside escape, it has it all! I personally don’t workout on vacation, but they do have an onsite gym with Peletons, Mirror workouts, and TechnoGym. They just opened Sisley Spa this week, which I am excited to try out during my next stay (see my favorite Sisley products here)! I highly recommend booking through Fine Hotels & Resorts to receive a early check-in and late check-out, a complimentary upgrade, breakfast credit, and onsite credit!
