From Farm to Bottle: Beverly Hills Juice and the Best Fresh Ingredients LA Has to Offer

The best fresh ingredient smoothie in LA? My verdict on Beverly Hills Juice.

I have been on the hunt for a new juice bar in LA since my previous favorite, The Art of Juice and Water, sadly closed down. Beverly Hills Juice has been on my list for a long time, and I finally tried it this past weekend! It was a short walk from my eyebrow appointment with Tonya Crooks, and is right across from The Beverly Center.

They have an efficient set-up, with one person taking orders at a stand and the closed off kitchen in the back whipping up orders in record time. Their menu is very unique as well (see below), as they have a wide variety of coconut, ginger, fruit, vegetable, and Banana Manna items. My stomach was growling from skipping a to-go snack post-Bunda and racing to my appointment, so I opted for an item from their Banna Manna section. The shakes are made purely of bananas and almond milk, and you choose an add-in juice as well. I am a big chocolate girl, so I opted for the Banana Manna Cacao Shake with Orange Strawberry Coconut juice. I was not sure how this concoction would turn out, but the juices and smoothies seemed to be a big hit with other customers who had ordered in front of me.

My order came out in a matter of mere minutes, and I can deeply appreciate their use of plant-based straws instead of paper ones (I personally use these same sturdy plant-based straws at home). The smoothie is a good size, and upon taking a sip I was genuinely dumbfounded. It is seriously the freshest tasting smoothie I have ever had, and I felt transported to a tropical island. I then got so mad at myself for not trying this gem of a spot sooner! It is now going to be a part of my regular routine, and I absolutely must try their raw pressed juices next. I am a long-time Erewhon member, and I can say with full confidence that this smoothie was better than even my Erewhon favorites.

Upon checking out their website, I am now even more impressed with their commitment to sustainability. They purchase their organic fruit from local farmers, use juice bottles made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET, use disposable cups and straws from plant-based, compostable materials, solely sell reusable bags made in the U.S. with organic cotton rather than disposable ones, use paper products that are 100% recycled, commercially compost all food scraps, and even solely use organic, plant-based, and biodegradable cleaning products. You can read about the founder, the late David Otto, and his story here. I am pleased to announce the verdict that Beverly Hills Juice is my new favorite juice and smoothie spot in LA!
