Los Angeles Farmers Markets

The perfect Sunday activity!

There is nothing more wholesome than a Sunday morning spent at the farmer’s market. I did not become a big farmer’s market person until about a year into moving back to Los Angeles. Below I go through the three I have experienced, and what makes each one uniquely great.

Brentwood Farmer’s Market, 741 Gretna Green Way Brentwood, CA 90049

This is definitely the biggest farmer’s market of the three, and has a great variety of stands to choose from. For this one, you are going for the farmer’s market alone, whereas the other two are located within a shopping area with other stores. I especially love the mingle’s coconut water (pictured here).

Palisades Village Farmer’s Market, 1035 Swarthmore Ave Pacific Palisades, CA 90272

The Palisades Village is my happy place, so I am a bit biased with this one. It is the smallest one of the three, but there are great quality produce stands! If you don’t find anything, you can walk around the village and stop at Erewhon for a delicious salmon lunch burrito. Keep in mind that bouquets get reserved early on and sell out quickly, so come early.

Melrose Place Farmer’s Market, 8400 Melrose Ave Los Angeles, CA 90069

A trek from the westside, but this is my personal favorite. I normally go to get flower bouquets, and this one has some of the most beautiful ones I’ve seen from the Eufloria Flowers stand (see below). You can also stop by Biologique Recherche, Alfred’s, and Set Active.
