I have an extensive book collection, ranging from self-improvement, business, coding, data science, engineering, self-love, biographies, language, mental health, and the majority actually being romantic fiction novels. This last category definitely feeds my Cancer venus and I love to read them before bed or on the plane. Ever since I was young, I would devour a variety of books on a daily basis — but the stories that have always stuck with me have been romantic fiction.
I love Katherine Center’s author’s note in her book Hello Stranger. She gives a stunning explanation as to why romantic fiction is a form of hope, and an act of choosing love and optimism in a world where there is so much tragedy (I highly recommend reading it). The books listed below are in my current collection; some selections are more niche and require a little bit of digging on BookTok to find — it feels like a much more personal reading experience for me.
