Wine Review: 2020 Carl Loewen Riesling ‘Ritsch’ Grosses Gewachs

Mosel, Germany

This is another favorite riesling choice of mine! The wine is a pale lemon color, with a medium aromatic intensity. It has primary notes of white blossoms, lemon, lime, white peach, minerality, and one tertiary note of petrol (starting to develop).

It is dry with high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium+ flavor intensity. Its flavor has primary notes of lemon, green apple, white peach, minerality, and a tertiary note of petrol. It has a gorgeous long finish, and is classified as very good quality. Drink now, but the wine has potential for further aging.
