Wine Review: 2020 Planeta Chardonnay

Sicilia Menfi DOC

This was my conscious effort to keep dipping my toes in European wines, and I was really blown away! First of all, the wine is a deep gold color that is one of the most gorgeous wine colors I have seen. It has notes of butter, stone fruit, nuts, citrus, and is oily on the palate. It has a beautiful long finish. A top tier introducton to an Italian Chardonnay!

93 Points: This has a concentrated nose of mango, baked nectarine, pineapple, apple crumble, granola and toasted nuts. Rich and toasty, with a full body and layers of fleshy, ripe tropical fruit. Long and buttery. Sustainable. Drink now or hold.
