Wine Review: 2023 Lucien Reymond ‘Silex’ Sancerre AOC

Loire, France

Purchase here

This Sancerre is a pale lemon color, with medium aromatic intensity. It solely has primary notes on the nose of apple, grapefuit, ripe peach, wet stone, acacia, and honeysuckle — it is a youthful wine.

On the palate the wine is dry with medium+ to high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium flavor intensity. Its flavor primary notes include white peach, wet stne, and green apple. It has a medium finish, and is classified as good quality. Drink now, and since there is high fruit concentration it has potential for further aging.
