Wine Review: 2019 Liquid Farm, White Hill Chardonnay

Santa Rita Hills

There is nothing I love more than a great chardonnay, so I was extremely excited to try this one. It did not disappoint, and will definitely become one of my wine fridge staples.

This wine had beautiful notes of stone fruit, flowers, and vanilla (oak). The long finish and creamy taste from the maloactic fermentation makes for a wonderful late afternoon treat.

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chardonnay White Hill is energetic and pure, with scents of lemon peel, tangy yogurt, crushed shell and hazelnut. The palate is shimmery and perfumed, with nutty tones hinting at more savory complexity to come with bottle age. It has a fine, chalky texture that anchors the very long finish, and the overall style nods to a great Chablis.""

Fun Fact: Liquid Farm states on their website that this beeswax sealing approach or no capsule at all is done to lower their carbon footprint.
